Viking sword from the 9th century based on a find from Amot County in Hedmark, Norway. According to Petersen's typlogoy it is a type "K".
The forged and tempered blade has rounded edges, which allows it to be used during full contact sparring and fighting. The tang is covered with a wooden handle and wrapped with leather which provides a strong and secure grip.
This is an excellent sword for heavy combat. We have put these to the test for years in full contact competitions. The balance, weight and highly durable material, together with the fully blunted edge make it the perfect sword for full contact sparring and battles.
The blade is made of forged high carbon steel, hardened to 48-52 HRC. The sword can be used in full contact environments without worrying about the impact. It is highly durable and have 2.5 mm thick blunt edges so they do not split or chip off.
